City Voices

Shop Front Theatre, City Arcade

26th October to 23rd November

In association with Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, we are delighted to be able to offer more City Voices Writing/Story workshops at the Shop Front Theatre with this Autumn. Led by the wonderful Coventry based writer Vanessa Oakes, attendance is free and sessions run for five Saturday mornings, starting 26th October running until 23rd November. The workshops sessions are for ages 18+. There is cake, coffee and a supportive environment, plus help with transport costs. Booking is essential due to limited capacity – email

Chris O’Connell, artistic director of Theatre Absolute says: “Its been such a rewarding experience working across Coventry recently, holding City Voices writing sessions over the spring and summer. We’ve even held a young people’s writing bootcamp which was brilliant! The work generated from all of the groups has been inspiring and skilful. We’re also very proud to say that writers from our previous adult writing sessions have now created their own regular weekly group, which we’re able to support thanks to the City of Culture Trust. We’re delighted to now offer another new set of City Voices workshops for the autumn.  Do come along and join us. All the workshops are free to attend and there is help to support transport costs.”
