As Coventry prepares for UK City of Culture 2021, Theatre Absolute, in association with Coventry City of Culture Trust, has launched its City Voices writing programme and established new writer’s groups in the community across Coventry.
Now the company is looking for new members aged 14-18, to form its very first group dedicated to nurturing the voices of young people in the city.
What’s your story? What are the issues and stories that are most important to you and the community you live in?
Join city based writer Nick Walker for a four-day City Voices writing workshop in which you will explore different approaches to writing for radio, theatre, poetry and much more!
It’s not academic in any way so no need to worry about being qualified – we truly believe everyone can write and has a story to tell.
The 4-day workshop is free to attend
Dates: 4 days – Monday 5th to Thursday 8th August inclusive
Time: 10.30am – 4.00pm
Where: Shop Front Theatre, City Arcade (opp. Argos), Coventry CV1 3HW
